to the home page of Jörg Riesmeier, freelance IT consultant and DCMTK developer from Oldenburg, Germany.

For more than 25 years, I am concerned with standards in the field of medical image communication. After my studies in computer science, I worked as a scientific assistant at the R&D institute OFFIS and thereafter as the head of the medical communication systems department at the ICSMED company. Since end of 2012, I act as a freelancer.

My services include training, consulting and software development in the field of DICOM and IHE. DICOM is the world-wide accepted standard for medical image communication, and IHE is an international initiative that uses established standards such as DICOM and HL7 to solve typical clinical use cases.
